The Special Session Is Scheduled to Begin Thursday

Courtesy of Montana Conservation Voters (MCV)

We've just heard that Governor Brian Schweitzer has called a special legislative session starting this Thursday, May 10. This session will not be limited to budget concerns but will also feature a debate over Schweitzer's "clean and green" energy plans.

There's more but it's too sunny and calm outside for me to get all worked up about the Republican scheme to convert our surplus into their own personal paychecks.

Hey Guv, What's the Rush?

So there I was minding my own business when I was ever so rudely interrupted by one of the all night repeating infohypatainment stories about Texas Governor Goodhair's evangelical desperate zeal to dump his state's (golden goose) lottery system into the lap of some cash laden corporation for an infusion of some quick cash that he can "invest" right quick.

If the hair isn't standing up on the back of every Texas citizen's neck somebody should do emergency lead testing on their water supply.
