What a Bunch of Controlling Jerks

He's a kid who rarely ever gets to speak to his only parent. She's a woman doing a dangerous job on the other side of the planet. Any conversation they get to have could be their last and they both know it.

The only thing that is important here is the militant conformity to a set of rules that were written withought consideration of special circumstances like this one.

I despise cell phones, you couldn't pay me enough to carry one unless one of my loved ones was going into labor or was in a war zone, and I despise this war, but we are speaking about fellow human beings that deserve to be treated decently.

The anal retentives who run that school should apologize to the mother and her son as well as changing the policy to allow all children to speak to any parent serving in the wars.

Are We Still Funding Government Propoganda

These infomercials have been on every single night and there are conferences all over the state. The following is part of a comment I left at one of Dave's many posts about the housing bubble.

somebody is pushing the story about free money from the government to buy real estate.

The late night informercials for the "National Grants Introductory Conference" travelling road show is narrated by Suzanne Whang

Authors Mike and Irene Milin show a picture of them posing with President Bush, other guests are former congressman J.C. Watts, former deputy and general council Dennis Foreman.

Grants, low interest loans or subsidies. Get government money even if you have credit problems!

Ignore David Sirota!

1-800-734-1684

This whole thing positively reeks of right wing fingerprints, I wonder if it is being funded by Wall Street or the government. No need to quibble over the redundancy there.

Don't worry, be happy. Get government money. They're doing Montana this week, maybe they will get to your area soon!

There are an awful lot of Rebublican talking points like "stake in the system" while it might not be funded by the government or the Republican party, but it is very shaky.

I recieved an invite to another suspicious event in the mail and I am ticked off big time. I can handle thinking these guys are on the take, but I abhor the possibility that my tax dollars might be paying for it.

Another Day of Shock and Awe Compassionate Conservatism

The massive amount of rubbish flowing down the pipes all those riders to sneak the Real ID Act past the people, the slaughtering of the Mustangs, opening the roadless areas for development, immunity for Pharma, the provision to allow the President appoint a commission to sunset certain departments of government, going nuclear on the judges, privatizing the govt., looting the treasury, intelligent design, ect is all engineered to cause chaos and confusion. We are never allowed to regain our footing, that is the shock and awe.

Compassionate Conservatism is based on the premise that only the strong survive so the only Compassionate thing to do is to help us die off faster.

What was it Conrad Burns said about his decision to slaughter the Mustangs? He said that some of them might die anyway, so "Let's git 'er done". The high ranking elite Republicans are railroading the rest of us down that path too.

I'm starting to believe that Grover Norquist was serious when he said that 'anything short of snipers on the roof would be an under reaction by the left'.

What in the heck is this?

Maybe they didn't get the news. The babyface neonazi got his butt whipped with his own whiskers yesterday.

Two Years, A Couple Weeks and 1594 Dead Soldiers

We are up to 1594 dead American soldiers and counting. Those other people who died trying to prove their friendship with us aren't counted here, neither are the hundred thousand(s) of dead Iraqi civillians.

While we are comfortably watching Donald Rumsfeld wait for the Iraqis to get tired of dying we have plenty of time to watch this Two Years flash.

Conrad Burning Bridges

Our darling little dirty fingernails Senator wasted no effort at all yesterday when he voted against an ammendment to put some money into Veterans health care. That is consistent with his votes against funding to provide the troops with armour, to give them protection from predatory lending and to make an exception from the harshness of the Bankruptcy Bill Law.

I apologive if I have given you any reason to believe that he does not stand up for his constituents, he did vote to fund the oil companies drive to wreck ANWR, to allow war profiteering and to make huge cuts and or greatly increase the national debt with the President's scheme to loot Social Security. He is clearly representing a constituency, although it isn't one that includes working people.

When John Morrison announced his intention to run for Senate, Burns said that the people of Montana would see a huge difference in their values. That is exactly what we are counting on Senator.

Yglesias Gets an A

I think that Mathew Yglesias has done his very best work as guest blogger at Talking Points Memo, so here is a great big thank-you for making Josh's honeymoon pain free for this blogstalker. Thanks for pointing out this (small PDF)file on Social Security as well.

Army Misses Recruiting Goal Again

Hheck out this broken record

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Army missed its April recruiting goal by a whopping 42 percent and the Army Reserve fell short by 37 percent, officials said on Tuesday, showing the depth of the military's wartime recruiting woes.

Then say a quiet goodbye to 1590 I don't know his name, but I bet he was not important enough for the President to attend his funeral either.

Hurt

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focused on the pain
The only thing that's real

The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liars chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

Beneath the stains of time
The feeling disappears
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would cheat myself
I would find a way

At Least Three More Dead Soldiers

The official body count stands at 1589, but headlines give me the impression that it is higher than that.

Does ABC Discriminate Against Christians?

It appears that they do, unless they beat their children and hate queers enough.

Following Matt, Jeff and Wulfgar

I would support John Vincent even if he wasn't running against that Krakpot with the infernal vaginal fixation, Roger Koopman AKA-Tuttlebutt. We have a good and decent man ready to run, let's support his decision.

Donations for John Vincent

Vincent For The House, 680 Low Bench Road, Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730.

Email: johnforthehouse@aol.com

I would like to ask him to drop the AOL though, AOL gives most of it's money to Republicans.

More Women Haters

South Dakota is not the only place on Earth that hates women. Brian tells us about a very young Yemen mother who is facing the firing squad for a crime she probably didn't commit. Indigo Jo has more, so does Al-Muhajabah.

Seems like we are running with the wrong crowd of friends and it is starting to rub off.

Why Google Ezra?

No, not because he is asking for it. Google Ezra Klein because he has the same personal problem I do.
