Mark A. Maida

I am sorry and angry that this 22 year old man was the 1656th American soldier to die for the corporate bottom line because Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.

How many ways does this need to be indepently verified before FOX news gets the memo? (typos corrected)

Repeating

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
-- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." - George W Bush

)Thanks to Michael Miller for digging up the quote I was looking for.

Only

Only in the Bush Administration can you be punished for telling the truth and rewarded for lying or breaking the law.

There is an extensive pattern of this, does anyone else care to submit an example?

Nuclear Fallout Is Good For You

The Execution Chamber

I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another that General Geoffrey Miller gets what General Geoffrey Miller wants.

File this one in the department of No! They Would Never Do That!

Hard Work, Hard Work

Typing in number 1655.
|

Activist Judge Located

Cale J. Bradford, chief judge of the Marion Superior Court has taken it upon himself to determine which religions parents may expose their children to.

What's next, punishing people for being left handed?
|

1654

It's hard work, hard work typing out the number of American soldiers who died to make sure that Halliburton et al keeps raking in the risk free profits.

Speaking about Halliburton, the Cosmic Iguana tells us about them stiffing their employees insurance so they end up disabled and making less than they would atMcDonalds .

Don't go there, though, you will get very ticked off if you do.

Permanent War

Looks like Denny Rehberg is all for it! All that talk about responsibility must be for losers who can't get a break.

Blowing Money and Body Parts

We're still winning! Hot damn it's good news when another two soldiers die and we keep planning that 600 million dollar embasy in Iraq along with four permanent bases and the worlds largest prison.

I promise you wont even remember the 1653 dead American soldiers or any of these people either if our Warmonger in Chief decides to surprise us with CONPLAN 8022.

Yes, we will be there for years and years. They own the voting technology and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
|

"CONPLAN 8022."

Is Bush planning to start an offensive nuclear war or two soon?

My tinfoil hat interferes with my understanding of geography, but I don't see any mention of the military buildup occurring on Diego Garcia mentioned here.

Tanking popularity, only getting 98-99% of what he wants, what's a Warmonger in Chief to do?
|

Body Count

1651, but it's all good because we will be there blowing money and body parts for another 15 years or so, and we're winning and Mission Accomplished or something like it.

Letting Loose on Left in the West

It was a rant! Sure I held back, I hate to give the impression that I'm in love with the sound of my own keys tapping away. Somebody else needs to express their opinions about this.

The thing is that I don't think that Max Bauchus is entitled to run for his spot again even if he did give a great speech the other day. He isn't any more entitled to that than Bu$h'$ extremists are entitled to an easy walk to the bench.

I would like everybody to put your own Congresspeople under the spotlight. I saw clips of Lieberman licking George Allen's boots on George Stephanopolis's show today and I agree with the fixer, can't we get a Democrat on those shows? Could we at least try to find somebody with a pulse who doesn't spout Cokie Robert's explanation of compromise?

Time Warner Loses Employees Personal Data

I forget who is keeping track of all this stuff, so I'll stick it right here.

For several years, as part of our company's regular processes to protect our computerized data, Time Warner has used a leading data storage firm to ship and store our computer back-up tapes offsite. I am writing to let you know that this outside firm recently lost a container of these back-up tapes during transport to one of its storage facilities.

The missing tapes contained company data including names and U.S. Social Security numbers of: current and former U.S.-based employees of Time Warner and its current and former affiliates (and U.S. citizens working for the company abroad); some of their dependents and beneficiaries; and certain other individuals who have provided services to the company.

The U.S. Secret Service is involved in an active investigation of this matter
, working closely with Time Warner and the outside data storage firm.
