Crisis Convention

My DD has a post about Walter Cronkite's suggestion that the Democrats hold a mid term convention to develop a party platform and present it to the nationthat we should discuss.

I think that I like the idea, but I liked Susie Madrak's idea for a Constitutional Convention*, too. My opinion is that anything that gets people involved in the decisions about direction is more than wonderful. It is absolutely necessary.

*suggestion made when Bush was a lot more popular but not assured of winning the election.
